A Guide to the Off Grid Specifications of Zone RV Off Road Caravans
Living off grid for extended periods of time has become an increasingly popular lifestyle choice for many Australians. However, achieving a comfortable off grid life can be challenging, especially when it comes to power and water management. This is where Zone RV off road caravans come in. Our caravans are specifically designed to tackle tough terrains and provide you with the comforts of home, even when living off grid. In this article, we will delve into the off grid specifications of our caravans.
Redarc Lithium Battery Charger
The REDARC Manager 30 is used in combination with a BCDC1250D to achieve up to 80A charging while driving, from solar or mains power. The Manager 30 connects to the RedVision display and app for effortless switching and data display. This allows for hassle-free management of your power usage, so you can focus on enjoying your off grid experience.
Redarc TVMS System
Our entire range of off road caravans feature the popular Redarc TVMS (Total Vehicle Management System) display system. You can control your appliances and power, lights and view your charging information all in one location.
Redarc Lithium Battery Bank
Larger battery banks help you ride out bad weather until full solar generation returns. If you plan on spending longer periods off-grid, larger banks are ideal. Our Sojourn and Peregrine caravans come standard with 200ah and Expedition is standard with 400ah that can be upgraded to 800ah. This means you can store more energy, which translates to longer periods off grid without having to worry about power.
Redarc Solar
Bigger capacity solar arrays allow the battery banks to be replenished rapidly in peak sunshine. Connect a portable solar blanket to reach the sun from shaded campsites or extra solar power. Our caravans come standard with 540w of solar which can be upgraded to 1060w of solar. This ensures that you have enough power to keep all your appliances running.
Redarc 3000w Inverter
The included 3,000W 240V inverter is powerful enough to run most of your appliances. Enjoy the comforts of home when living off grid by using appliances such as air conditioners, induction cooking appliances, or other 240V powered appliances. This means that you don't have to compromise on your lifestyle when living off grid.
Water Storage
Water management is crucial when living off grid, and all our caravans come equipped with features to make water management easier. Our caravans have three poly water tanks totaling 240L. These tanks can be isolated and individually filled in case of picking up contaminated water. There is underbody aluminum water tank armor to protect against damage. Water level gauges connected to RedVision display make it easy to monitor water usage. There is also a 12V water pump and in-line water filter. If you choose to dedicate one of the three tanks for drinking, it is 80L.
Grey Water
Managing grey water is also important when living off grid, and our caravans have this covered. All our caravans come with a 100L poly greywater tank and underbody aluminum tank armor. The greywater bypass system allows for hassle-free management of greywater.
If you're looking for an off road caravan that can take on the most challenging terrains and provide you with the comforts of home while living off grid, then Zone RV off road caravans are the perfect choice for you. With a range of off grid features, you can rest assured that you will have everything you need to live off grid comfortably.
