Adjusting the tension will ensure that your windows function properly and maintain their intended performance. Step-by-Step Guide to Adjusting ZONR RV Windows

1. Identify the Type of Window

ZONR RVs feature two different types of windows, which can be identified by the photos below. Understanding which type of window you have will help determine the proper method for adjustment.

3. Adjusting New Style Windows

Tools and Materials Needed:

• Flathead screwdriver

1. Remove Corner Trim: Carefully take off the corner trim from the window frame to expose the adjustment mechanism.
2. Remove ‘D’ Shaped Ring: Gently remove the small ‘D’ shaped ring from the Adjustment screw. (Red Arrow)
3. Adjust Tension: Using a flathead screwdriver, turn the screw clockwise, pushing in as you turn. This will adjust the tension of the screen. Always adjust gradually to avoid over-tightening. Step 3A: If the screen appears worse or too tight, you can loosen the tension by turning the screw counterclockwise. (Blue Arrow)
   
4. Secure the ‘D’ Ring: Once you have finished adjusting, replace the ‘D’ ring back onto the screw to secure it in place.
5. Test Screen Tension: Check the screen to ensure it is properly tensioned and functioning correctly. Step 5A: If the screen is still bunching or not operating smoothly, tighten the screw a few more times in a clockwise direction.
6. Reattach Corner Trim: Finally, reattach the corner trim to the window to complete the adjustment and restore the window's appearance.

4. Adjusting Old Style Windows

Tools and Materials Needed:

• Hex bit or Allen key bit. 

1. Locate the Tension Adjustment Knob : Find the tension adjustment knob or screw, which is typically located on one end of the roller blind.

2. Unscrew The adjustment knob: Use the Hex bit or Allen key bit to turn the tension adjustment knob anti-clockwise. This will allow the adjustment knob to come out.

   

3. Adjust Tension: Once the knob is out, be careful not to let it go. as it will want to unwind

   • • To tighten the blinds: Turn the knob clockwise to increase tension.
     • Step 3A: If you need to loosen the blinds, turn the adjustment knob anti-clockwise to decrease tension.
4. Secure the Adjustment Knob: After adjusting, push the knob back in and turn it clockwise to lock it in place.

5. Test Screen Tension: Check the screen to ensure it is properly tensioned and functioning correctly. Step 5A: If the screen is still bunching or not operating smoothly, tighten the screw a few more times in a clockwise direction.
