      Registration process and caravan insurance

      Registering your new Zone RV, state requirements, Zone RV vs Dealer and when you can arrange insurance

      If you purchased your van directly from Zone RV, it will be registered in Queensland with 12 months of Queensland registration. After the handover, you can transfer the registration to your preferred state. If you purchased your van from Off Grid Outfitters, they will be in touch regarding their requirements. 

      Zone RV Direct Sales Customers ONLY

      Queensland Customers

      QLD customers only require a physical valid drivers licence. NOTE: If you have recently changed your residential address, please ensure your driver's licence is up to date or have a confirmation letter provided by TMR.

      Interstate

      To ensure your handover visit is simple and easy, you must come prepared with 3 points of valid ID. NOTE: Unfortunately, we can not accept digital copies of these documents. 

      This could include the following options: 

      • Drivers Licence
      • Proof of Age card 
      • Medicare Card
      • Passport 
      • Birth Certificate

      We are unable to give out registration papers please see the process on how to re-register your new van in your state:

      1. Please allow at least 2- 3 weeks prior to calling for TMR to process paperwork.
      2. Please call TMR directly and get your CRN number which we have applied for. Contact number is 13 23 80 | Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm, excluding public holidays.
      3. Please advise TMR of your Zone RV Rego number. 
      4. Once you have your CRN number, please click the link below or copy and paste it into your browser and enter the required details.

      Registering your caravan under a business name?

      Unfortunately, we can only register your van in a personal name. If you wish to have it registered in a business name, you must do this later with your local transport agency. This is due to the restrictions we have under our licence to register new vans through QLD Transport.

      Personalised Plates 

      If you have a personalised plate or want to make some, please send it to ZONE RV at the latest, 1 month before your handover date. If you don't have plates to send this early, please contact us a month before your handover date so we can prepare and coordinate with TMR. PLEASE NOTE THAT THESE MUST BE CARAVAN/ TRAILER PLATE. WE DO NOT ACCEPT CAR PLATES.

      INSURANCE

      When you receive your final payment invoice, you will receive the VIN for your new van. With the VIN, you can arrange insurance for your new Zone RV.
